So I thought it would be highly improper of me to not mention Wimbledon this week.  Having scoured the dresses on show, I have to say in general I’ve been disappointed with the fashion.  Most ensembles have been terribly  English tea party (note the lowercase spelling of this) and managed to make Henley’s Regatta look more like Milan’s catwalk in comparison.  In fact it would be fair to say the men (David Beckham, Bradley and his namesake Dominic Cooper to name but a few) looked substantially better than their female counterparts.  After all, who doesn’t like a hottie in (or in their case, ideally out of) a well cut suit?

The lovely Gemma Arterton has however, managed to give the boys a run for their money in this cream two piece.  It’s a bold look, the trousers bordering on a culotte are an unusual choice, but as it’s Wimbledon and paired with a great stripe and matching blazer, I actually really like it.  It’s fresh, venue appropriate and classy. The Jimmy Choo Mary Jane’s are super pretty, yet practical considering the event.  However, the best bit about this entire outfit  has to be the lovely smile on Jemma’s gorgeous face.  What more of an accessory do you need than this? Ah…the requisite England summer staple…  The umbrella. Natch.
